How to Install The TSPrint App

The TSPrint application gives you, the user, the ability to access your local printers through the Terminal Server(s). In this Quick Reference Guide, we will explain the steps involved in installing this application. This guide also assumes that the user has a basic understanding of how to log into the NextGen Remote Desktop.

NOTE: Before attempting to install the TSPrint application. Ensure that you properly log out of the terminal server (NextGen remote desktop)

Installing the TSPrint application

To install the TSPrint application:

  • Open any internet browser (i.e., chrome, edge, et. Cetera)

Using any one of the provided browser search tools (example: Google, and Bing):

  1. Enter the following text: tsprint client download.
  2. Click to select the Download TSPrint to Print from your Terminal Server result.

NOTE: The Google search tool was used in acquiring the results below.

Click Download Client from the terminalworks website.

NOTE: No purchase is necessary

Click on the downloaded TSPrint_client.exe file.

Enter assigned User Name and Password in the fields provided.

NOTE: Admin rights are required to install application. (See your local Administrator for more details).

Click OK to select English as the preferred installation language.

For the next four window prompts, click NEXT

Click Install

Click Next

Click Finish

Setting TSPrint Client Options

To set TSPrint Client Options:

  1. Click the Windows Start button.
  2. Select the TerminalWorks menu item.

Choose Options from TerminalWorks menu.

General Printing Options

Under the General Printing Options: Ensure that the Map settings check box is selected.

NOTE: This is the only option selected from the General tab.

Redirection Printing Options

Under the Redirection tab:

  1. Select each printer you want available on the NextGen Remote Desktop.
  2. Click Apply
  3. Click Close

NOTE: Clicking Apply saves settings from both the General and Redirection tabs.

Final Steps

NOTE: Know further steps are necessary after installing the TSPrint Client. The user can now log into the NextGen Remote Desktop and then access the NextGen Application of their choice (i.e., Enterprise EHR, Enterprise PM, et. Cetera).

Conclusion

When printing from a NextGen Application. Users will then be able to select from one of three options when printing:

  1. TSPrint Default - This will print to whatever the Default Printer is set to on the users device.
  2. TSPrint PDF - This will print to PDF and you can save it to any location you want.
  3. TSPrint Printer - This will bring up a list of printers installed on the end user’s device and they can select whatever printer they want to print to.

NOTE: Additional printing options may also be available for the time being.
