The Dx/AP History allows the provider to access Assessment and Plan information from previous encounters. This information can be copied and inserted into the current encounter. The Dx/AP History button is located on the Assessment /Plan panel of the SOAP template. This Quick Reference Guide demonstrates how to copy previously used Assessments and Plans into the current encounter.
Important Note: Only the Diagnosis, Provider Plan, Patient Plan, Impression/Comments, and Differential Diagnosis information will come over. All other patient specific orders such as labs, diagnostics, referrals, etc. will NOT be copied over to the current encounter.
Copying Dx/AP History to Current Encounter
To copy Assessment/Plan information from previous encounters, click the Dx/AP History button.
Perform the following steps in the Dx/AP History window:
- Select the desired Assessment/Plan History
- Click Copy Dx/AP
Status
If the Status was recorded for the selected diagnosis the Ngkbm Get Diagnosis Status pop up will appear.
- Select the patient's Status for current encounter
- Click OK
Important Note: The Dx/AP History pop up will continue to stay open after copying information until the Cancel button is selected.
All selected Assessments/Plan information now appears in the Assessment/Plan grid.
One Final Note
Although the information has been copied over from previous encounters, the Assessment and Plan information can still be updated.
