System Alerts are alerts, that are typically based on changes in the patient's status (i.e. Billing, Scheduling, etc.). These alerts can also identify important information that may not have been documented in the patient's chart yet. For instance, if the Privacy notice information has not been completed in the patient's chart. The NextGen Alerts pop-up, will appear every time the patient's record is accessed.

Practice Management Chart Alerts

Unlike System Alerts, Chart alerts are created by the user from the Clinical History/Notes tab in the patient's chart.
