This Quick Reference guide will explain How to Add a Problem/Diagnosis to Medication(s).
Please Note: a diagnosis cannot be linked to a medication that is on a locked encounter.
Linking Problems/Dx's to Medications
A diagnosis can be linked to medications when prescribing or updating existing medicatios. To link the diagnosis:
- Click the Add active text link below Problem.
Patient Condition
Up to three diagnoses can be selected from the Patient Condition panel. To choose a diagnosis:
- Double-click desired diagnosis.
The selected diagnosis now appears in the prescription pad.
Removing a Problem/Diagnosis
To remove a Problem/Diagnosis:
- Click the desired diagnosis.
- Choose Remove from the menu.
