How to Add Procedures to Procedures Module

This Quick Reference Guide, explains how to add Procedures to the Procedures Module. This Quick Reference Guide assumes the user has a basic understanding of how to access a patient's chart in the EHR application.

The Procedures Module contains all of the billable procedures submitted during patient interactions. (i.e. Office Visits, Nurse Visits, etc.)

Accessing Procedures Module

The Procedures Module can be accessed by, clicking the icon which displays a Syringe and Medical bag.

Adding Procedures

To Add Procedures to the Procedures Module:

  1. Click the Ellipses button for Procedure.
  2. Free text Procedure Description in Description field.
  3. Click Search
  4. Select the desired result from Procedure grid.
  5. Click OK

Users can also search by Procedure Code, by free texting Procedure Code in the Procedure field. (See Image Below)

Adding Diagnosis

Up to 12 Diagnosis can be attached to a Procedure. To Add a Diagnosis:

  1. Click the Ellipses button next to Diagnosis.
  2. Select desired Diagnosis from the Diagnosis History grid.
  3. Click Select

Diagnosis must already appear in the patient's chart.

If necessary, Modifiers can be added in a similar way as Diagnosis, but is not necessary to add Procedures.

An optional Notes field is available for Procedure comments. (See Image Below)

To save the information to the Procedures grid; click the Add button.
