This Quick Reference guide provides guidance on how to code for Telephone and Video related visits from the Cardiology Finalize template in EHR.
How to submit charges for Telehealth Call Audio Visits
To submit charges for Telehealth Audio Call only Visits; Click the Telephone Call Charges link found on the Finalize MG template.
Please note that the term Telehealth Call in this guide is used to describe a normal Office Visit carried out over the phone. The Telephone Call template is not used for Office Visit calls.
Document the following information from the Telephone Visit MG pop-up template:
- Select desired code from Physician management list.
- Click the Call length field to enter length of time interacting with patient over the phone.
- Free text any relevant comments in the Comments field.
- Submit to Superbill.
- Click Save & Close
How to Submit charges for Video Interactions
To submit charges for Video related Interactions with patients:
- Choose level of complexity from Medical Decision Making or Counseling list.
- Click Modifier field to select the 95 modifier.
- Submit Code
Important Note: Telehealth video visits should be coded as regular office visits with the 95 modifier included.
