Documenting Privacy Notice

In this Quick Reference Guide, users will learn how to properly document the Privacy Notice information in the Practice Management application.

Privacy Notice Alert

When the Practice Management application detects that the patient's issuance of the Privacy Notice has not been documented. A Privacy Notice Alert will appear upon accessing the patients record.

Documenting the Privacy Notice

To document that the patient has been issued the Privacy Notice:

  1. Click the Open records button.
  2. Click the Privacy option from the panel.
  3. Enter the date the Privacy Notice was Issued to Patient.
  4. Enter the date the Privacy Notice Received from Patient.
  5. Select the Privacy Notice Reason.
  6. Click OK.

If necessary notes can be documented in the Privacy Notice Notes field.

The Privacy Alert will no longer appear after the Privacy Notice has been documented.
