Work Flow Module Enhancements

To improve usability, several enhancements have been added to the EHR Work Flow Module. In this Quick Reference Guide we will identify and if necessary demonstrate the new enhancements made to the EHR Work Flow window.

Work Flow Indicators

Users can now view the number of outstanding items on each tab in the Work Flow Module without having to switch their current view.

Patient Information Pane Enhancements

The Patient Information Pane has been enhanced to include the following:

  1. Ability to view Future Appointments
  2. Ability to view Recent Notes documented in Problems list.
  3. Ability to view the ICD Code for Dx's
  4. Ability to see Generic Medication name
  5. A new Labs link to view patient lab results
  6. Ability to see Patient Portal Enrollment status as well as the ability to access the Enrollment template.

Clinical Tasking Enhancements

The Clinical Tasking Inbox now supports the ability to attach an HIE Document to a task.

Appointment Inbox Enhancement

The following enhancements have been made to the Appointments Inbox:

  1. View Wait Time after patient has been checked-in.
  2. Ability to check eRx Eligibility for current patient.
  3. Ability to see all the Appointment History for current patient.

Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) Enhancements

The Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) has been enhanced with the following new features:

  1. Sign-off with Actions - gives the provider the ability to perform a set of actions upon signing off on a PAQ item. These actions include the following: creating multiple tasks, sending results to Patient Portal, and Launching Documents, images, and templates. These actions sets can be saved and reused for future items.
  2. Patient Info Pane - displays the patient's contact information, problems, medications, diagnoses, alerts, patient portal enrollment status, and lab results. In addition, the patient's future appointments can also be viewed from the Patient Info Pane.
  3. Recall button - Allows users to quickly add a patient to a recall plan.

Patient Portal Enhancement

The only enhancement to the Patient Portal Inbox is seen when composing new messages. A new Contains Clinical Information check box has been added to the Patient Portal Message window.
