Care Guidelines Historical Test-Quick Entry

In this Quick Reference Guide, users will learn how to use the Care Guidelines Historical Test-Quick Entry feature. In this illustration we will learn how to add Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy and Mammograms that where completed or performed elsewhere.

This Quick Reference Guide assumes that the user has a basic understanding of how to access a patients chart, create an encounter, and how to access the Intake MG template.

Care Guidelines

Using the Intake MG template; click the Care Guidelines active text link.

Adding the Health Maintenance Protocol

If the Health Maintenance Protocol is not already selected; click the Add/Update button.

In the Active Guidelines window:

  1. Click inside the Condition field.
  2. Select Health Maintenance from the pop-up menu.
  3. Click OK
  4. Click the No Risk Indicators check box. (Document any risk factors if applicable)
  5. Click Save & Close

In the Clinical Guidelines Page View:

  1. Click the check box for the desired option. (Options include: Mammogram, Colonoscopy, and Sigmoidoscopy)
  2. Click the Status drop down arrow.
  3. Select Completed from the pop-up menu.
  4. Repeat Step 2, then select Performed Elsewhere to launch the Historical Test-Quick Entry template.

Historical Test-Quick Entry Template

In the Historical Test-Quick Entry template:

  1. Select the desired test from grid.
  2. Click on Date done to insert date (Click Approx: box if this is an approximate date)
  3. If applicable, free text Interpretation and Results. (These are optional fields)
  4. Click Save & Add New
  5. Click Save & Close

Navigate to the Histories tab to confirm entries entered above are present in the Diagnostic Studies grid.

The Diagnostic Studies grid can also be accessed from the Reasons for visit panel on the Intake and SOAP tabs.
