The Dx/AP History feature has been enhanced to allow the copying of multiple diagnosis and plan information from previous encounters. Also included in this enhancement, is the ability to update Invalid ICD codes. In this Quick Reference Guide we will learn how to do the following:
- Copy multiple diagnosis and plan information using the Copy All Dx/AP history button.
- Update Invalid ICD codes.
Encounter Assessments
A new Encounter Assessments radio button has been added to the Diagnosis, Assessment/Plan History window. This update now allows the user to filter the All Assessments list by encounter.
Copying All Dx/AP History
Multiple diagnosis and plan history information can be copied into the current encounter at the same time when the assessments are listed by encounter. To copy all diagnosis and plans attached to a previous encounter:
- Ensure that the Encounter Assessments radio button is selected.
- Select the desired encounter from the Encounter Date list.
- Click the Copy All Dx/AP button.
Note: If an Assessment has already been selected in the current encounter. An alert will appear to notify the user. (See image below)
Updating Invalid ICD Codes
If an ICD Code is considered to be invalid when selecting an encounter. It will be indicated by an asterisk in the column before the Date field.
After selecting the item a different alert appears below the ICD Description field identifying the code as being invalid.
To update the Invalid ICD Code:
- Click inside the ICD Description field.
- Select the newly mapped ICD Code.
- Click Select.
To select the current assessment status:
4. Click inside the Status field.
5. Select Status.
6. Click OK.
