In this Quick Reference Guide, users will learn how to create Lab Panels for performing entities (i.e. LabCorp, and Other) using the custom Lab Master MG template.
Important Note: Lab Panels are based on the Current Provider. This means, the panel is only available for the provider in which the panel was created.
Creating Lab Panels
To create a Lab Panel:
- Right-click on the Lab Panels grid.
- Select Add New from the menu.
Custom Lab Panel
In the Custom Lab Panel window:
- Type in a name for your panel in the Panel Name field.
- Click inside the Lab field to select the performing entity that the panel will appear under (Options are: LabCorp, and Other).
Selecting Lab Test
Up to a total of 10 Lab Test can be selected from the Custom Lab Panel. To select the test:
- Click in either the Lab Description field or the Lab Test Number field.
When the LAB TEST window appears:
- Select the desired test from the list.
- Click OK
Important Note: When searching for test: Type a few letters (i.e. cre) to filter the LAB TEST list.
Repeat this process until all desired test have been selected then: Click Save and then Close.
Your newly created Lab Panel should now appear in the Lab Panels list.
Conclusion
One Final Note: Each provider may have there own version of the Lab Panel. So, it is important to verify that the correct name of the provider you are ordering labs for. Appear in the Current Provider window above the Patient Information bar.
