Electronically Reconciling Vaccines

Updated on

Electronically Reconciling Vaccines allows the user to electronically import vaccine information into a patients chart. In this Quick Reference Guide, we will explain how to electronically reconcile vaccines using the Orders module in the EHR application.

Accessing the Orders Module

To Access the Orders Module:

  • Click the Test Tube icon at the bottom of the Patient History Panel.

Reconciling Immunizations

To Reconcile Immunizations:

  1. Select the Immunizations tab.
  2. Click the Reconcile options.

The Patient Lookup window automatically searches the Registry for any matching records for the patient.

  • Click Accept to confirm the patient.

A comparison is made between the existing information in the patients chart in EHR and the Imported information from the Immunization Registry. Here is an explanation of Actions:

  • Keep/Ignore - This means that the information imported matches existing information in the patients chart.
  • Add - This means that there is no matching information in the patients chart for this record.

Reconciliation Summary

The Reconciliation Summary displays the following information:

  • Add new item - New items to be imported into the patients chart.
  • Unchanged no action performed - matching items that will not require change.

Click the Confirm option to import the new information into the patients chart.

NOTE: After clicking confirm you may get a search pop-up to match vaccines being added.

There are two options:

  1. Select the one of options based on the information available.
  2. If there are no options to select, type in the first three letters of the vaccine name, then press Enter for results to appear.
