In this Quick Reference Guide, users will learn how to use the Document Text Search tool in the EHR Application.
The Document Text Search tool is limited to TX Text generated documents.
Searching for Patient Documents
To perform a search for patient documents; click the Search Patient Documents button on the Patient History tab toolbar.
In the Search Documents window:
- Enter desired text.
- Click Search glass.
Setting Search Filter
Users can use the filtering options to help streamline their search. Click the Page Down icon next to the Search glass.
There are two filtering options:

Documents - Checking this box along with clicking the Ellipses button, lets users select the type
of document they are searching for. (i.e. Master Im, Patient Plan, etc.)

Enc Date - Used to set a set number of days or a range of days in which to search for the
desired text.
Accessing Documents
Documents can be accessed from the Search Results list by double clicking the desired document.
Final Note
The Search option is also available on the Categories tab of the Patient History Panel. However, this feature only works on TX Text generated documents.
