How to Enroll Patients Using Email Enrollment Link for Patient Portal PM

This Quick Reference Guide assumes that users have a basic understanding of how to access patient charts in PM (Practice Management).

Accessing the Patient Portal Enrollment Window

To access the Patient Portal Enrollment Window in PM:

  1. Click the Norton button located at the top left hand side of the patient's chart.
  2. Hover mouse over the Patient Portal option.
  3. Slide mouse over to the Enrollment option in the extended menu.
  4. Select Manage Enrollment from the second extended menu.

In the Patient Portal Enrollment Window:

  1. Verify that the patient's E-mail address is correct.
  2. Ensure that Email enrollment link is selected from the Enrollment options list.
  3. Click OK.

Be sure to click the Update button, if adding or updating the patient's email address in the Patient Portal Enrollment Window.

Enrolling Patient's Using Enrollment Token

If a patient is already enrolled in a practice and they are requesting access to a different practice within the same network. An enrollment token is to be issued to the patient.

To issue an Enrollment Token to a patient:

  1. Follow the instructions above for Accessing the Patient Portal Enrollment Window.
  2. Verify that the patient's E-mail address is correct.
  3. Ensure that the Issue enrollment token option is selected from the Enrollment options list.
  4. If patient is present, click the P.I.E. Instructions Given link to print enrollment instructions.
  5. Click OK.
